Microsoft’s Lens app comes to Android and iPhone; It can scan paper to convert it into editable documents

What will you do if you have a paper and you want it to convert into editable document? You need to have a good OCR software to scan it before editing. But Microsoft’s app ‘Lens’ lets you scan documents and convert into editable documents. This app is now available for both Android and iPhone. This app was launched for Windows Phone almost a year ago.

With this app, you can convert your smartphone into a scanner. It uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology and converts paper into editable word, powerpoint or PDF files.

  • Recognize the corner of document and and automatically crop and clean up image.
  • Identify printed text with OCR so that you can search for keywords in document.
  • Convert images, whiteboard notes into word, ppt and PDF formats.
  • Capture business card and save contact into phone.

Lens app for iOS is available from App store. Preview of Office Lens app is available today. You can download Office Lens Android Preview from G+ community. Interested Android users can join community and become tester.
