Huawei is set to launch a new wearable device Huawei 4.5G Smartband. Company unveiled this new wearable device at an event in London. It will also be showcased in MWC 2015. As the name suggests, this smartband supports 4.5G connectivity and will be the first wearable device to support this.

This smartband comes with LTE-M made by Neul. Huawei acquired Neul last year. Other specifications of the smartband were kept secret. We expect to know more about this smartband in upcoming MWC 2015. Like most of the wearable devices, this smartband can also track fitness, heartrate and will be able to to pair with Internet or things devices.

“4.5G supports up to 100K per cell connections via LTE-M, 100 times that of 4G. LTE-M also provides better coverage. Receivers require just 1/100th of the signal of existing 2G system, 20dB gain, using low-power terminals.”-Huawei.
