New Microsoft patent Will make phones less annoying in Movie theatres

A new patent granted to Microsoft will make your smartphone less annoying in movie theaters. This patent is for new “inconspicuous mode” which will automatically adjust brightness, sound and offer reduce information on lock screen when you enter into movie theater or about to go to bed.

This mode uses the sensots of the device to know when you are about the venue. If it does not active automatically, you can manually enable this mode. As per the patent description, there are various conditions which can activate the mode. It will use the GPS, sound, NFC, Wi-FI, MAc Address and oter data like movie ticket purchase from browser or other things to detect when to activate the mode. When the conditions that caused the mode are no more, this mode will automatically exit. Users will also be able to remove this mode manually.

Microsoft Patent

This can also be a feature of next big update to Windows Phone. But we cannot confirm anything. Microsoft filed the patent back in 2013 but it was granted few days back. Now we will have to wait for few more months to see this in action.
