Microsoft to rebrand Nokia as ‘Microsoft Lumia’

Microsoft MobileMicrosoft acquired Nokia’s Devices and Service Division back in April this year. Now company is all set to kill off the Nokia and Windows Phone brand. Last month, we also heard this news but nothing was confirmed. Now report confirms that Microsoft will rebrand Nokia as Microsoft Lumia brand. This transition will start from Nokia Francs which will be the first country to adopt the new name. Nokia France has already confirmed this via Facebook post.

“Microsoft Lumia” Name will be used in various social media accounts of Nokia France. Other countries will follow the transition in coming weeks.

Microsoft has already started redirecting Nokia.com users to Microsoft.com’s mobile section.
