IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has finally launched its official Android app called IRCTC Connect. This app aims to make rail ticketing simpler just by swipe, shuffle, select and book. This app also claims to be faster. Size of the app is just around 12 MB. It is also compatible with Android devices running on Android 4.1 and higher. This mobile app lets users book tickets, make PNR enquiries, check booking, cancel tickets and check booking histories.
This app will save recently added passenger details to quickly fill next time. It will also alert you for your upcoming journey. You will be able to quickly plan your journey and book tickets.

IRCTC Connect is available to download from Google Play Store. IRCTC has also uploaded a user guide on its server which you can download to know more about the app.
Last year, IRCTC launched the mobile app for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 devices in partnership wit Microsoft and later an app was launched for BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
While IRCTC experience is not very good, now company is trying to improve its website and mobile apps to offer better experience. IRCTC Connect is the similar step to offer easy access to rail ticket booking on the go.
