Atom Mobiles slashes the prices of all its existing smartphones

Atom Mobiles has slashed the price of all its existing smartphones in the country. At this moment, Atom Mobile has three Android smartphone in the market. All three smartphones are packed with high end hardware configurations. Company has slashed almost Rs. 2500 in the pricing of these smartphones.

1. Atom Supremus

Atom Supremus is now available for Rs. 12,900 only. It features a 5 inch HD 720p display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT 6589T Quad Core Processor and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly bean OS. It features a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi, microUSB, Bluetooth v4 and USB/Wi-fi tethering. It has a 2000 mAh battery.

2. Atom Ultimus

Atom Ultimus is now available for Rs. 14900. It has similar specifications as in Atom Supremus except the full HD display. Atom Ultimus has a 5 inch Multi-touch, IPS Display with NM2 Wide Angle Technology and 1920 x 1080 Pixels resolution. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Other features are 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, microUSB, a-GPS and 2000 mAh battery.

3. Atom Maximus

Atom Maximus costs Rs. 18900. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT 6589T Quad Core Processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. It features a 6.5-inch Capacitive Touchscreen full HD display with 1920 x 1080 Pixels resolution. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front camera of 5 megapixel. Camera features include Snap Shots, Continuous Focus, Time Lapse Mode, Real-time Zoom, Shoot Stunning Videos, Crop…Auto Focus, Zoom Level – 5, Brightness Level – 5, Multi-shot, Panorama, Night Mode and Photo CLI.

It has a 3500 mAh battery. Connectivity features are 3G, Wi-Fi, micro USB, Bluetooth and 3.5 mm jack.

Atom Maximus

Atom mobiles offers a unique service model of “Door Step Pickup & Drop.” It is a free service within warranty. With this price drop, company is trying to make an impact in the Indian smartphone market.

But company should re-think about the strategy and start with the low-cost smartphones first. In India, brand matters a lot. So, company should start with entry level segment and get few customers first. All three smartphones fall in mid-range category. Although these smartphones offer very good hardware configuration, people prefer better brand just to have a mental satisfaction.

India already has so many other local brands. So, it will be interesting to see how Atom Mobiles will perform in coming days.
