At its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) today, Apple announced iOS8 beta. Company also announced that iPhone 4 wouldn’t spport this new operating system. This new operating system will be available for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad with Retina display, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display.

Last year, Apple announced biggest changes in its iOS operating system. But true evolution begins today. Company accepted users’ feedback and tried to make iOS8 better as per users’ expectations. iOS8 will be available as a free update for all supported iOS devices.

iOS 8 comes with new interactive notification center which allows users do lot more tasks direct from notification center. You will be able to like or comment on Facebook messages or handle your calendar events direct from this notification center.

Apple has also revamped the iOS keyword. It has added a new predictive typing suggestions called “QuickType“. This new feature learns from user. It offers suggestions based on your past typing and contact history. It also knows who you are talking and will suggest you the words accordingly.

While composing a mail, users can simply swipe down to access other mails without closing the message being written. It also lets users quickly delete and flag messgaes.

Continuity is the new part of the Apple’s software ecosystems. With this feature, iPhone, iPad and computer will be aware of each other. You can easily switch between devices with the task you want to sync with other device.

Family Sharing is also a new feature of iOS8 which lets you sync up all the devices in a single family (tied up with single credit card). These apple devices will automatically share media, calenders, reminders and other things. You can also locate other people’s device which comes in handy when parents want to know about their kids.

Siri is now deeply integrated. You only need to say “hey Siri” to activate it without touching your iPhone. It now has ability to purchase content from iTunes. It comes with 22 new dictation languages.

So far, Apple has only 1000 photos on your iOS. SO, you needed to take backup on your Mac. Now, Apple is offering storage for all your photos, videos in the cloud. So, your photos and videos will be accessible from all the devices. With smart editing features you can also edit your photos and videos on the cloud.

Health is another new part of iOS. Apple has added this health as a centralized place where you can plug in many other health apps. Apple is calling it Healthkit.
