NSA Can Access Your Offline Computers
When Snowdown told the world about PRISM program of NSA, experts claimed that only way to say safe is become offline. But, recent claims revealed that it was just a joke. NSA can also access offline computers and has already been doing for years.
New York Times reported that NSA has developed “a secret technology” that let it access offline computers via radio waves. This technology relies on a radio transmitting device such as USB. And it reaches to systems either by an agent or a partner manufacturer.
They is no clear evidence that the technology has ever been userd to track USA users. But Ny Times reported that NSA has implanted this in nearly 100,000 computers around the world. It was also reported that the technology is in use since 2008.
NSA claims that this spy program is just an act of “active defense” against foreign cyber attacks. They want to spy on computers for defense but when Chinese hackers do the same, they protest it. NSA officials also said that this action cannot be compared with China’s.
