Windows Phone Users to Receive Extra 20 GB SkyDrive Storage

Microsoft has announced a holiday cheers to Windows Phone users today by sending then an email to activate 20 GB bonus SkyDrive Storage. Users can claim this extra free storage until the end of January and it will be active for a year. Microsoft initially offers only 7 GB free storage when users signup for the service.

Extra 20 GB SkyDrive Storage

After one year, you will have to pay certain amount to keep using this extra free storage.

SkyDrive is a popular cloud storage service which you can use to store your important files, photos and videos. If you lost your phone, you will never loose your files. SkyDrive comes built-in with Windows Phone as a personal storage. You can also access your Skydrive account from iOS, Android, Mac or Windows system.

At the moment, it is not confirmed whether this offer is available only for US users or all global users. But you can wait for few days to receive email for extra storage.

Microsoft already offers 200 GB free cloud storage data for two years to customers who buy Surface 2 or Surface Pro 2 tablets.
