Just after when Facebook confirmed video ads, popular messaging service Line has announced video ads that will also pay users. Line has announced ‘Line Free Coin’ service for Android users in seven Asia countries including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

In this new service, company will pay Line coins to users for watching promotional videos. Line launched coin service to back in June to turn messaging app into a good platform for business. Now, Users will see a new menu item that will offer new coins for watching videos. Companies will also be able to promote their video content on Line platform. By viewing these promotional videos, users can earn coins for free.

These coins can be used to purchase paid stamps, premium stickers and other virtual goods through LINE. Previously, these things could only be bought with cash.

It will initially be available in Japan and will be expanded to other countries soon. Company has not mentioned anything about this offering in India, but Line is quite popular in India. So, we can expect “Line Coin” to be available in India soon.
