BlackBerry Partners With Celkon, Spice, and Zen to pre-load BBM on their Android smartphones

weeks back, BlackBerry released its BBM service for Android devices. Now, company is trying to promote it to get more users. Yesterday, BlackBerry partnered with Celkon, Spice, and Zen to pre-load BlackBerry Messenger on their Android smartphones. In the press release, company has also re-iterated the name of Micromax as well.

Micromax already sell its Canvas turbo with BBM. After this partnership, all future canvas smartphones will come with BBM app.

“It is clear that smartphone customers see BBM as a must have app for active conversations. The uptake we have seen for BBM since the launch on Android and iPhone is amazing,” said Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President for BBM at BlackBerry.

“We’re thrilled to be working with leading Android smartphone manufacturers from across the globe to help bring their customers the best out-of-the-box experience with BBM preinstalled,” Bocking added.

In India, local smartphone brands are very popular. So, partnering with these companies will help BlackBerry to reach wider audience. And most of the people who buy smartphones from local manufactureres are those are new eager to taste every kind of app in their devices. India is a big market, so BlackBerry is doing it right by targeting entry level and mid range smartphone customers.

For other users, BlackBerry Messenger is available in Google Play. If you are Android user and want to start connecting with your friends with BBM, you can download and install it in your Android device.
