Box Doubles Free Storage to 10 GB, Introduces Cheaper 100 GB Tier for Small Firms

Popular cloud storage company Box has doubled the free storage plan for single user. Now Single user can enjoy 10 GB for free in his personal account. It has also introduced a new plan for small companies.

If we compare it with other cloud storage giant, SkyDrive give 7 GB, Google Drive offers 15 GB combined for Gmail, Google+ Photos and Drive and Dropbox offers only 2GB. It means, after upgrading offering, Box is beating all other competitors except Google Drive. But, less popular Mega is still ruling with its 50 GB free and encrypted cloud storage.

Box has also introduced a new plan in which it is offering 100 GB of cloud storage for 1-10 users only for $5 per month. It will be best for small companies with few employees.

“We’re excited to announce Box now has 20,000,000 users and is used in 180,000 businesses, with many organizations rolling Box out to tens of thousands of employees. We’re thrilled by this progress, but there are still many more businesses to reach and teams to help succeed,” Box said in announcement.

With Box Cloud storage, you can save your important documents to cloud making it accessible all time with box app. You can also share your documents via share links. Box has also estimated that it will have  nearly 40,000 exabytes of digital data by 2020 stored by users.

With increasing competition, Consumers are enjoying low cost cloud storage. And with the time, it is becoming an important part of business persons and small companies.
