Android Hack Tool To Steal Information from Windows PCs Automatically

Security researchers team from F-Secure has found an interesting Android based hacking tool. This hacking tool is an Android app that turns Android devices into a hacking tool that can retrieve sensitive information from Windows systems.

This tool has been identified as identified as Hack-Tool:Android/UsbCleaver.A. To use this hacking tool, hacker must install USB Cleaver app on his/her Android device. Once executed on the device, this app downloads few more files from a remote server. Downloaded files are designed to perform suspicious tasks and steal sensitive information from Windows based systems.

Once hacker connect his/her Android device with hack tool installed, Android devices starts automatically collecting sensitive information like browser passwords, the Wi-Fi password and network information from the computer. Hacker can also select which kind of information he/she want to collect from the target system. All these collected information is stored in a folder in Android device’s SD card.

This tool takes advantage of the Autorun.inf files of Windows. If user has disabled Autorun.inf files on the computer, this hack tool will not work because the tool use Autorun.inf to automatically start collecting information. IN recent Windows systems, autorun.inf is disabled by default. So, the impact of the hack tool is not much. But the tool has shown a different kind of hacking trick.
