Sony’s recently announced water resistant and dust resistant smartphone Sony Xperia ZR is now up for pre-order in India. It has listed online on Flipkart and infibeam for price of Rs. 29,990. It is expected to start shipping from third week of June.
Sony Xperia Z features a 4.55 inch 720p TFT display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor with Adreno 320 GPU. It comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system on-board. It also features a 13 megapixel camera with HDR and dedicated camera button. This camera can also record HD videos. It also has a front VGA camera.
It comes with 8 GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB. Other features are aGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA Certified, MTP, Micro USB support and 3.5 mm audio jack (CTIA).
Xperia ZR claims to offer high level of water resistance. It can survive inside the 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
