Opera has partnered with 7 Indian smartphone manufacturers to bring Opera Mini Pre-loaded in all their upcoming Android based smartphones, tablets and phablets. These companies are Celkon, Karbonn, Lava, Intex, Fly, Zen and HCL.
Opera Mini is the popular browser for all mobile platforms But launch of Google Chrome for Android created problem for Opera Mini. Now, Android users prefer Google Chrome. After this deal, users will get Opera Mini in their Android devices as a default browser. This will surely increase Opera Mini user base on Android.
Opera Mini comes with advance page compression technology that serve pages by processing from Opera server. In this way, it claims to save 90% data consumption on the device. Therefore, Opera Mini gives faster and cost effective web browsing experience.
Few months back, Opera has also partnered with Airtel to bring co-branded version of Opera Mini. This also helped Opera to increase user base in India, South Asia and Africa.
