BlackBerry has announced its much awaited keyboard phone BlackBerry Q10. It will run on BlackBerry 10 OS and will be launched in Canada on May 1. It will also be available in UK and USA soon.

In Canada, it will be available via Canadian carriers Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility and Telus with three years contracts. The phone is priced at $199. Customers will also be able to buy the smartphone from other retailers including Walmart.

Blackberry Q10 features a 3.1 inches AMOLED display with 720 x 720 resolution. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage. It also features a 8 megapixel camera similar to the camera in BlackBerry Z10.

It features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and near-field communication; and 4G LTE connectivity

Blackberry Q10 is the second smartphone running on BlackBerry 10 OS. BlackBerry Q10 has a physical QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry Z10 was the first smartphone based on BlackBerry 10 OS launched in February. BlackBerry Z10 was the full touchscreen phone. Company has also announced that it has shipped more than 1 million Blackberry Z10 worldwide.
