As expected, Sony Launched Sony Xperia Z in India for Rs. 38,990. This is the first smartphone by the company having screen size of 5 inch. It comes with impressive hardware configuration. It was announced in CES 2013 held in Las Vegas.
Sony Xperia Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm processor with 2 GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system. It comes with 16 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card.
Sony Xperia Z has Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and Magnetometer. It comes with 5 inch touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.
It also features a 13 megapixel camera at the back of device. Camera can also record HD videos. Camera is really impressive and features Auto Focus, Burst Mode, Face Detection, Geo-tagging, Image Stabilizer, Object Tracking, Red-eye Reduction, Scene Recognition, Self Timer, Smile Detection, Image Sensor, Superior Auto, Sweep Panorama, Touch Focus, White Balance, Smile Shutter, Shutter Sound, and Auto Upload. It also has a 2 megapixel camera at the front for video calls.
It is a single SIM phone and comes with wide range of connectivity options. Connectivity options include WiFi, micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, DLNA, 3.5 mm jack, A-GPS and GLONASS

Vodafone is also offering 8 GB of data for free for two months with the Xperia Z. Owner of the smartphone will also be able to download free 15 lakh songs for free from Sony Music store within six months of purchase.
