Google has taken one more step to move Google users to Google+. Google’s picasa web albums now redirect users to Google+ photos.

When you first enter picsaweb.google.com in the address bar, it will redirect you to Google+ photos. Here, you will also see a notification saying, “Click here to go back to picasa Web Albums.” Clicking on this link will take you back to the picasa web albums. You can manually use this link.

Google also saves the cookies if you use this URL or clicked on the click here link to go back. After this, if you visit the picasa web albums, Google will not redirect you to Google+ photos. Google has also stopped adding new features to Google Picasa albums. On other hand, Google+ photos get constant updates and improvements.

We can also say that Google+ Photos is the advanced version of Picasa web albums. Still there are so many features in Picasa web albums that are not in the Google+ photos. After adding those features to Google+ Photos, Google can retire Picasa Web Albums too.

Google is also planning to release a mobile app for Google+ Photos. It will allow users to upload, manage and share photos on Google+ photos albums.
