Facebook has finally rolled out reply to comments on Facebook pages. This feature was already in work for past few months and company was testing it on few profiles. Today, this feature is launched for all Facebook users. When page admins visit their pages, it prompts to turn on reply to comment feature. After July 10, 2013, This feature will be enabled for all pages automatically.
Now, it will be easy to reply a person on comments with the help of threaded comments. No need to address a person in comment to reply. Just click on reply link below the comment and leave the reply to a comment.
“Starting today, we’re launching a new comments feature designed to improve conversations,” Vadim Lavrusik, Journalism Program Manager announced. “You and your readers will have the ability to reply directly to comments left on your Page content and start conversation threads, which will make it easier for you to interact directly with individual readers and keep relevant conversations connected.”
Facebook is also trying to prioritizing comments based on engagement. It means popular comments will surface to the top of your posts. It will be really helpful for pages having too many followers. Page owners can reply to each person individually. It will be like we see on different blogs. This can be used as Q&A discussion on pages via comments.
This update is only for desktop now. If you are viewing the website on mobile devices, you will not see the reply link below comments.
