Google Search for Android Updated with New Voice Actions

Google has just updated Google Search App for Android devices. This new version of app brings some new features and performance improvements. It comes with new voice commands for some specific things.

Now with Google Now, you can actually find boarding passes (only for United states) right to your smartphones. Google now can also do a lot more on those device which it support. Some new voice commands make things easier that before.

These are new voice actions added.

  • Post to Google+
  • Say “What’s this song?” to find the song you hear
  • Say “Scan a barcode” to find product info

It has also added few more features to search app. These are the new cards

  • Events nearby
  • Suggestions to help with your research
  • Boarding passes from Gmail (United only, more to come)
  • Search by camera when at museums or shops
  • Weather at upcoming travel destinations
  • Approximate monthly summary of walking and biking activity
  • Birthdays

Google Search 2.2.9 is now available to download for free from Google Play Store. This app is compatible on all devices running on Android 4.1 and higher.
