Zynga Acquires Social Game Maker A Bit Lucky

Social gaming giant Zynga has acquired a california based social game making company A Bit Lucky. Members of A Bit Lucky will join Zynga team in San Francisco. A Bit Lucky is known for its  Facebook-based titles like Lucky Train. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zynga buys a bit lucky

The multi-player “Solstice Arena” game on which A Bit Lucky was working will not be launched as Zynga Offering.

“After exploring various options and talking to a lot of interested partners, Jordan and I are convinced Zynga is the best choice for us,” Descamps, A Bit Lucky co-founder said in an email.

“At Zynga we met people like us passionate, hardcore game developers animated by a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” he added. “It was a true meeting of the minds.”

Zynga also wants to expand its game into more interesting categories. Zynga also launched its gaming platform back in March. So company also wants more multiplayer games to be played on this. This deal will surely boost the speed off Zynga to release more interesting products.

Zynga also want to be less dependent on Facebook so having better games for its own gaming platform will surely help it. Most of the Zynga comes from the social games on the Facebook and it has launched the second version of its Farmville few days back. But Zynga is trying all its ways to be independent game maker.
