Russian investment company is planning to acquire Aircel Communication for around $3 billion. Currently Maxis communication owns 74% stakes in Aircel.

Aircel to launch 4G services by THe End of Year

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) currently operates it telecom service in India under MTS brand and has Shyam Telecom as its Indian partner. It lost its license in 21 circles after Supreme Court judgement earlier this year.

Aircel has closed to 65 million subscriber in India while MTS oly has more than 16 million subsccribers.

But it will be interesting to see what will happen. No one from either of the company has accepted this. So we can not say what is going to happen.
