Now there is some relief to those embarrassing mistakes when you did something wrong in comments. Social networking giant now allows users to edit their comments. Now you will be able to edit and change your comment on Facebook. Before this, Facebook only allowed comment editing only within few seconds of posting.

“For instance, if I join a thread and write a long comment but make a typo, I’ll now be able to go edit it instead of having to delete it and repost,” spokeswoman Johanna Peace said.

This feature is for those who generally do typing mistakes while writing long comments.

“We’ll also be showing the editing history for a comment so that subsequent commenters or likers have the full context of the conversation. It’s rolling out now and should be live to everyone in the next couple days,” she added.

Facebook will also show comment history in case a user changes his/her comment. So that other users in the conversation didn’t get confused.

To edit your comment, go to the post and then take mouse over your comment. You will see a pencil icon at the right side of the post. Click on it and see the menu which has option for edit and delete. Now select edit and then edit the comment.
