Yandex To Become Default Search Engine On Windows Phone In Russia

Yandex, the Russian search giant has teamed up with Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung and HTC to become the default search engine on the windows mobile operating based smartphones in Russia.

Yandex is currently running in Samsung’s Оmnia W smartphone which is already available in Russian market. It is also installed in some upcoming Nokia’s Windows Phone-powered Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones.

Yandex has already done some work and developed some apps for windows phone which include Yandex Maps, Yandex Market. Yandex is planning to build few more applications to bring some more features to mobile users.

Yandex is the leading search engine and online advertising company of Russia where Google comes at second after Yandex. So the deal will surely help Microsoft and Yandex both. Yandex is also eyeing for the Global market so this step will also help it in future.
