Top 4 internet companies, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and AOL  have joined a force with Agari to keep email inbox safe. Agari is a company that works on email security. Company alalyzes more than billion emails a day to find the pattern that could allow for the development of sophisticated mechanisms that can detect and counterattack phishing campaigns.

Companies can see the data to know when phishing attacks occur. And by analyzing the data they can contact email service provider to stop malicious messages sent via mail.

“Facebook can go into the Agari console and see charts and graphs of all the activity going on in their e-mail channel (on their domains and third-party solutions) and see when an attack is going on in a bar chart of spam hitting Yahoo,” says Daniel Raskin, vice president of marketing for Agari.

Most of the phishing attacks are sent via emails so it is important for email service provider to check the mail messages properly for phishing links. Although most of the big companies like Google have implemented the anti phishing  and anti fraud mechanism for Gmail users but this deal can take the security level to the next level
