Today, Xiaomi unveiled a new series of smartphones dedicated to selfie lovers. The company also launched Xiaomi Redmi Y1 as the first member of the series. The phone comes with 16 MP front camera with front flash.
Like other Redmi phones, it also comes in different RAM/Storage models. The 3GB RAM with 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 8999 and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 10999.
It has a 5.5-inch HD screen and comes with MIUI 9 out of the box. It is powered by Snapdragon 435 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU.
It has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF. It also offers 16 megapixels front-facing camera with LED flash, OmniVision sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 76.4-degree wide-angle lens.

The Redmi Y1 phone features both Fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. It offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS / GLONASS connectivity options. It also packs 3080mAh battery.
The phone has aluminum alloy frame with a metal finish on the back. Dimensions measure 153× 76.2 × 7.7mm and Weight is 153g.
It will be available starting November 8 from.Amazon.in and Mi.com. The phone will also be available in the offline market from selected Xiaomi partners including Big Bazaar and Reliance Digital store.
