YouTube is now testing video speed controls on Android

YouTube is now testing video speed controls on Android

YouTube is finally working to give users on the speed of videos on mobile devices. 9to5Google spotted speed controls on YouTube for Android.

This speed option can be accessed by tapping on three dot menu on the top right. See the screenshots below. You have the option to increase and decrease video speed. You can go from 0.25X to 2X.

Changing the video speed just increase and decrease the playback rate. The labeled duration will remain same. I am sure you have already seen this option on YouTube for the web. It is already available there.

I tried finding this option in my devices, but couldn’t see this. The feature is in limited testing. So, very few people have access to it. Check your YouTube app and let us know if you got this option.

This feature will be available to all users in coming days.
