This franchise is really popular among gamers, so the company keeps adding new games to the franchise from time to time. The overarching storyline of Assassin’s Creed revolves around a conflict between two secret societies: the Assassins and the Templars. The Assassins are portrayed as the protagonists, fighting for freedom and the preservation of free will, while the Templars seek to control and order through manipulation and dominance.

The main characters, known as Assassins, use a device called the Animus to relive the memories of their ancestors and uncover hidden truths about history.
