TP-Link is a well known brand for computer accessories. Few days back, I got its Bluetooth Music REceiver HA100 and used it for few days at home. It is an awesome device for music lovers. Basically this device turns on your stereo speakers into a Bluetooth speaker without affecting music quality. So, you can play any song in your smartphone or tablet and play wirelessly. In this way, you do not need to put your device near speakers plugged over 3.5 mm jack.
Unboxing
In the box, you will find these things:
- HA100 Bluetooth Music receiver
- Power adapter
- 3.5mm to RCA Cable
- 3.5mm to 3.5mm Cable
- NFC Tag
- User guide and installation guide
Design
Design of this device is good. It small and light in weight. It also looks very attractive. It has a small indicator light at the front side. At the back, it comes with a 3.5 mm jack and microUSB port. It measures 66.5 x 60.5 x 18.5 mm.
Connectivity
You can connect it with speakers by using 3.5mm to RCA Cable or 3.5mm to 3.5mm Cable. Then, pair your smartphone with this device over bluetooth. If your phone has NFC, you can also try to use NFC tag for connectivity. Range of this device is 20 meters (66 feet) direct line sight. Range is good and it works perfect in home and small offices. Even if you close the door, it somehow works. But if you cover more distance, you will feel disturbance in audio.
It can save up to 8 different devices. So, you do not need to pair each time you want to connect a device. Saved device will not show pairing request and will save your time while connecting with speakers.
Multiple devices can connect with simultaneously but the device currently playing music will lead. Other person will not be able to change the song until the current playing device pauses.
Compatibility
You can use it with all smartphones available in market. Software Platform will have no effect. I tried it with Android and iOS devices and found no issues in connectivity. Not just mobile devices, I also found it working with Windows and MAC systems. NFC connectivity also works fine. Its Bluetooth 4.1 is compatible with A2DP stereo Bluetooth devices.
My Verdict
If you do not want to go to speakers and change the song everytime, this device is the best solution. Turn your stereo speakers into Bluetooth speakers and enjoy music from any corner of the room.
