Noise recently launched its affordable TWS Nose N1. I got it for Rs. 899, but now the product is being sold at Rs. 1199. This is an affordable TWS that promises good features for a small price. I have been using it for around 10 days and here’s my review of Noise N1. All the opinions, I am putting in this review, are based considering its price segment.
Noise N1 comes with a compact box. Inside the box, you get the TWS, a type-C cable for charging, and extra ear tips.
The Noise Buds N1 comes in a compact charging case that’s easy to pocket. There’s a tiny LED light at the front and a USB-C port at the back. The plastic case doesn’t feel good and has an average build, especially this hinge part. So, you need to be extra careful while opening and closing the case.
Buds feature a unique stem design with indication lights. The plastic build feels good and the matte finish adds a premium touch. Buds also provide a secure and comfortable fit. You can keep them wearing for a longer period of time without any discomfort. Buds also have an IPX5 rating that makes them splashproof and good for daily usage.
Buds also have touch actions. A single tap on the right bud increases volume step by step. A single tap on the left bud decreases the volume. Double tap on any bud play or pause music. All the touch actions have been mentioned in the product manual. You can read that to know how to use different touch gestures. Touch gestures work well and I didn’t face any issues.
The N1 features large 11mm drivers that deliver a good sound. It has good bass, but that’s not too heavy. The tuning is good enough to keep vocals and treble clear. It also has a good sound separation for movies and games. You won’t get an immersive sound experience, but good enough for most cases.
The 40ms low latency ensures smooth audio sync. You can long tap on any bud for 2 seconds to enable low-latency mode for gaming. Considering its price, I find it good enough for music, movies, and games.
Call quality is good although the background noise cancellation isn’t the strongest. The indoor calling experience is good, but the outdoor experience is not that good. So, get this bud only if you don’t have plans to take outdoor calls.
It has Bluetooth v5.3 for a stable and reliable connection. I didn’t face any connectivity issues while using the buds. As soon as you open the charging case, it pairs with your phone and stays connected until I don’t put buds inside the case.
Buds offer around 6 hours of standalone music playback. Noise claims 40 hours of playtime with the charging case, but I was getting around 35-36 hours. That’s still good. The earbuds charge quickly too, offering more than an hour of playback time with just a 10-minute charge.
Noise Buds N1 is a good option for people looking for a balance between audio quality and price. The sound quality is good for the pricing and you get a good battery life. The IPX5 rating makes them good for daily use. Buds have a good build, however the charge case seems weak. For the price of around Rs. 1200, I think Noise N1 makes a good choice.
