Design

Design of the phone is good with full metal body. Due to large battery, it is bulky in nature and heavy. But, it looks good. Back cover of the device is non-removable. Dimensions of the device measure 152.9 x 75.6 x 4.6-9.9mm where 4.6 mm thickness is at edges and 9.9 mm thickness in rest of the phone. It has physical home button which is equipped with a fingerprint sensor.

Back cover of the phone is non-removable. but top side of the back is removable to insert SIM card and microSD card.

Display

Display of the phone is good. It has 5.5 inch IPS LCD full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and Gorilla glass protection. Default theme of the phone is dark, so display does not look much bright. Display can also run Full HD videos without any issue. It also has Qualcomm’s Assertive Display for better sunlight legibility. It works pretty well.

Processor, RAM and storage

It is powered by a 1.5 Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB RAM. Performance of the device is good and offers lag-free experience. Multi-tasking of this phone is also good.

Vibe P1 Benchmarks

Antutu score of this phone is pretty similar to Lenovo K3 Note, but this phone is better in terms of performance. Gaming of the device is good and it can run high-end games like nova, modern combat, and Asphalt without any issue. While gaming, temperature of the device goes up but it is bearable.

It comes with 32 GB inbuilt storage space which can also be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

Software

It runs on Vibe UI based on Android 5.1.1 to offer customized look. There is no app drawer and all apps are on the home screen. It also comes with lenovo branded apps shareit and syncit.

Vibe UI

There is also a theme center which lets you download various themes, wallpaper, lock screen and recent task list themes to change the look and feel of your device. But these themes are limited and I couldn’t find option to download data.

There is also a secure zone which separates your personal files from official files.

Camera

It also comes with good camera. It has 13-megapixel rear camera with dual color LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Camera app offers few modes and options. There is also a manual mode to control ISO and exposure. Other camera features are AF Phase Detection, Exposure compensation, Continuous Shooting, Face detection, Geo tagging, HDR, ISO and Touch to focus. In low light, there is also an option to tap and fill light.

It also has a fingerprint sensor at the home button for improved security. You can use it for secure login and protection against data theft.

Battery is the main attraction of the device. It is packed with 5000 mAh battery which offers around 54 hours in mixed usage. I used this device as my primary phone. It will vary depending on your usage.

Charging of the phone is also fast and takes around 1 hours 40 minutes in charging with charger provided with the phone. With other charger, it took more time. I also saw noticeable amount of heating while charging.

Battery of this phone can also act as power bank with the connector provided. There is also a power saving mode which can be activated by using the button provided at the left side of the device to improve the battery backup.

Sound:

Sound quality of this phone is also good. In call, voice is clear and loud. Loud speaker also works good. Speaker is located at the below sound.
