Digitek DBS-023 is an entry-level Bluetooth speaker. The MRP of the speaker is Rs. 1895 but you can easily get it for around Rs. 1300 from different online stores. Recently, I tested this Bluetooth speaker and here is my review of Digitek DBS-023.

Digitek DBS-023 Review
Digitek DBS-023 has an oval shape with a flat base so that it won’t roll. There is a rubber strap on top for easy portability. You can adjust the strap depending on your comfort. At the left side, it has a micro USB port for charging, full USB port, TF card slot, and Aux port. Below all these ports, it also has 4 buttons. The first button is to turn it on or off. The same button is used to change the mode of the speaker input. Next two buttons are for volume control that can also control tracks if you long press. The last button is to play or pause the song.
The build quality of the speaker looks good and its design is also eye-catching. It is not too small, but still portable to take it for your trips.

It has oval shape but sound emanates only from the front. It has two drivers with 5W power of each. Sound output is loud and clear. So, this speaker is good enough to work in a mid size room properly. It sounds great if you connect it with your laptop for watching movies. The music experience fine but doesn’t impress due to the average bass. If you are not a hard-core music fan, you will not be disappointed.
The speaker offers multiple connectivity options including Bluetooth, Aux, microSD card slot and USB. It also has built-in FM radio. So, you have several options for using as input sources. I tried playing songs over AUX and USB. These options work fine.
There is also a built-in microphone for hands-free calls. The microphone captures very low sound and you won’t be audible on the other side if you don’t shout. That means you won’t use it for a hands-free call ever.
Digitek DBS-023 packs a 1500 mAh battery. Surprisingly, the battery back up is much better than the claims on the box. It is rated for a playback time of 2-4 hours, but the speaker lasts much more than that. I was getting around 6 hours of music playback on around 70-80% of volume level. That is good enough from a Bluetooth speaker of this price.
Final words
Digitek DBS-023 is good considering its price but doesn’t stand out of crowd because we already have so many good Bluetooth speakers in this segment. Digitek DBS-023 comes with good looking design and solid build. Battery life is also better than the claims, but music experience is not a treat and it could have been better.
