Wireless earbuds dominate the market, but affordable TWS often suffer from latency. That’s why gamers prefer wired earphones. because latency can ruin your gaming experience. With the headphone jack disappearing from smartphones, the demand for USB-C earphones is on the rise. Recently, I came across an affordable Type-C earphone, the Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming, priced at just Rs. 599. Boult Audio even markets it as a gaming earphone, so I decided to put it to the test. I have been using Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming for more than a week now and used it regularly for listening to music and playing games. In this detailed article, I am writing a detailed review of Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming.
Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming seems similar to Boult Audio X1 Pro. The company only added LED lights in buds to give it a gaming aesthetic.

Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming sports a simple, but attractive design. Each earbud features color-changing LEDs on the back. They come with attachable wingtips for a more secure fit, but you can also use them without the wings for a different feel. You also get extra ear tips for a comfortable and secure fit. Buds provide a snug and comfortable fit for extended use. So, there will be no problem using them for long gaming sessions. The IPX5 rating also makes it sweat-resistant and suitable for workouts.
There’s an in-line controller that has three buttons. The + button is to increase volume and the – button is to decrease volume. The center button plays or pauses music and answers or hangs up the call. Long pressing the center button activates the voice assistant or rejects incoming calls.
On the other side of the in-line controller, there’s a button with an LED light. Pressing this button toggles the colors of LEDs on the buds. There are 8 different colors. Sadly, there is no option to turn off LEDs. I wish I could do that.
The cable feels reasonably sturdy and is long enough for comfortable use.
Now let’s talk about the performance. The earbuds pack 12mm Dynamic drivers with Supreme Bass and BoomX Technology. The sound quality is fine for the price and you will have a satisfactory music experience. The earphone also offers a satisfactory bass but often lacks clarity in the mids and highs. This could be a concern for gamers who rely on precise audio cues, like footsteps or gunfire locations.
The microphone works well for calling and basic communication with teammates in gaming. However, it’s important to note that it can pick up background noise from nearby conversations. This might be a concern for competitive gamers who need crystal-clear communication or streamers who want to minimize background chatter.
So, how do the X1 Pro Gaming earphones perform in gaming? Well, for casual gaming, they do the job. If you are into competitive gaming and play online multiplayer games seriously, you might want to increase your budget and get a better earphone.
Considering the Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming is a budget-friendly option, we can’t expect too much from it. For its price point, it feels like a value-for-money product. It offers good sound and a comfortable fit. However, gamers need clear and accurate audio, and the Boult Audio X1 Pro Gaming falls short in that area. For regular calls, music, or casual gaming, the X1 Pro Gaming is worth considering. If you want a good gaming earphone, spend a bit more.
