boAt Rockerz 510 Bluetooth Headphones Review
boAt is now a known name for audio products including earphones, headphones, and speakers. I have also reviewed several products from the brand. Recently, I used boAt Rockerz 510 to see if this headphone is worth to buy. Here is my review of boAt Rockerz 510.
boAt Rockerz 510 is made of plastic, so it is light in weight. It weighs only 230 grams. But it looks heavy and cheap due to plastic. Build quality is also average. The company has also tried to give it a look of the gaming headphones.
The headband is adjustable and has a cushion on the inner side. It has soft faux leather on the ear pads to give you comfort. The headband never slips from the upper head and its hold on ears is also good. So, you can also use it while running. The right ear cup has 4 buttons that let you change tracks and control volumes. Just above the buttons Setup, there is a LED indicator light. On the side of the right earcup. it has a button that lets you answer/reject calls or Play/Pause song. On the other side, it has a micro USB port for charging it. Control buttons are big enough to easily identify and click. The left earcup has an Aux port.
It gives comfort and doesn’t put pressure on ears. So, you can use it for a longer time.
It packs 50mm dynamic drivers that perform well and offer a good stereo sound experience. That means boAt Rockerz 510 doesn’t disappoint. If offers good and loud music. While the music at loudest volume distorts, there’s no issue in lower volume. It also offers a good and punchy bass. As it holds ears properly, you get good isolation and outer environment won’t be able to disturb your music experience.
There’s a microphone for taking hands-free calls. You just need to press the assigned button to receive the call. Microphone doesn’t impress and I rate it average. You will be audible on the other side, but the quality of audio also matters. Your sound on the other side will be low and full of noise.
It uses Bluetooth to pair with your phone for music streaming. Bluetooth working range is 10 meters and it works fine until 8 meters. It also has a headphone jack, so it can also be used as a wired headphone when the battery is low.
boAt Rockerz 510 offers around 8 hours of battery life that is good for a headphone of this price segment. It takes around 2 hours in fully charging it from 0-100%.
So, overall I am impressed with the performance of boAt Rockerz 510. It delivers good music and offers a good battery life. I wasn’t impressed with its build quality, but that doesn’t matter a lot when music quality is good.
