Snapdragon 720G and Snapdragon 730G both the chips are manufactured using the 8nm process. Snapdragon 720G has eight Kryo 465 cores that include two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and six power-efficient Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. On the other hand, Snapdragon 720G has eight Kryo 470 cores where two two Cortex A76 cores are clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
Both the chips use the same Adreno 618 GPU. However, the GPU on Snapdragon 730G has even overclocked by 15%.
So, Snapdragon 730G is slightly more powerful than the Snapdragon 720G.
Now let’s have a look at other things.
Snapdragon 720G comes with the new Qualcomm Hexagon 692 processor while the Snapdragon 730G uses a Qualcomm Hexagon 680 processor. Hexagon 680 is less powerful but has a dedicated voice assistant chip.
Snapdragon 730G also has an NX bit that helps protect the device from malicious attacks.
Snapdragon 720G has Spectra 350L ISP whale the 730G has Spectra 350 ISP. Both the chips supports up to 192MP photo capture, 4K UHD video recording at 30fps, slow-motion video recording of 1080p at 120fps, 720p at 240fps, and 720p at 960fps.
Snapdragon 720G and 730G use the same Snapdragon X15 LTE modem. So, chops can offer up to 800 Mbps download link speed and 150 Mbps upload link speed on the LTE network. Both the chips support WiFi-6, USB 3.1 and Bluetooth 5.0. Snapdragon 720G also has support for India’s homegrown geo positioning system NavIC.
Snapdragon 720G is almost as good as Snapdragon 730G but Snapdragon 730G is slightly better in terms of performance. Snapdragon 730G will offer a better gaming experience. All other things are almost the same.
