Microsoft’s Cortana is Coming to Android Lock Screen

Microsoft recently improved the user interface of Cortana on Android. Now the company is planning to make it better for Android users.

Microsoft is testing the way to access Cortana from the Android lock screen with just a swipe. This will not actually replace your existing lock screen but will give you a one tap access to Cortana. Swipe left or right to activate the Cortana and then use it.

Once you install the new update, it asks you to enable the “Cortana on lock screen”. If you click on “Add Cortana to my lock screen”, it will be added to your phone’s lock screen.

This new feature will replace Google’s own quick access and allow Android users to switch to Cortana. You can get all the updates from Cortana and even ask Cortana to do anything. Microsoft will probably restrict Cortana from giving critical information while using the Cortana from lock screen.

The best thing is that it works with any custom lock screen app.

Microsoft is testing this feature and is expected to roll out soon. If you use Cortana on your Android phone and want to try this feature out right now, you can sign-up for the Cortana’s beta here and install the Android app here.
