Vivo Y51 Pro 5G with Dimensity 7360 Turbo and 7,200mAh Battery Launched in India

Vivo has launched its latest smartphone vivo Y51 Pro 5G, in India. The TH phone joins Vivo’s Y series lineup and focuses on battery life, performance, and AI powered features.

The vivo Y51 Pro 5G features a quad curved back design with a one-piece frame. It comes in Festive Red and Noble Gold colors. The device comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings. It is also certified with the SGS 5 Star Premium Performance Mark for drop resistance and has passed military-grade durability tests with drop resistance up to 1.7 meters.

The smartphone features a 6.75 inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1250 nits peak brightness. The display is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified to reduce eye strain.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, built on a 4nm process. According to the company, the chipset can reach an AnTuTu score of over 920,000. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM, with support for up to 8GB extended RAM. This hardware combination is designed to handle multitasking and gaming smoothly. The company says the phone can support up to three hours of continuous gameplay at 60 FPS with ultra graphics. It comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The vivo Y51 Pro 5G is the first Y series phone to run OriginOS 6 out of the box. The system includes several AI tools such as AI Creation, AI Notes, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Captions. The phone also supports Circle to Search and integration with Google Gemini for smarter assistance. Other features include Private Space for secure storage, Free Transfer for quick file sharing with PCs, and Face Unlock even while wearing a helmet.

The vivo Y51 Pro 5G features a 50MP HD wide-angle main camera along with a 2 megapixels secondary camera. The camera supports 4K video recording at 30FPS. It also promises to offer underwater photography. For videographers, it offers Dual View Video, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Time Lapse and Slow Motion. For selfies, the device comes with an 8MP front camera.

Connectivity options include 5G connectivity, Dual nano SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C port, and NFC. The device also includes features like AI SuperLink for better connectivity in weak signal areas.

It packs a 7,200mAh battery and supports 44W FlashCharge for faster charging. The phone also includes several battery management technologies such as Battery Health Algorithms, Battery Life Extender, and Bypass Charging. It also offers reverse charging, so you can charge other devices.
