Capcom has announced several new content updates for Resident Evil Requiem, including a Photo Mode, a new mini game, and an upcoming story expansion. The announcement came through a video message from the game’s director Koshi Nakanishi, who also thanked players for the strong response the game has received since launch.

In his message, Nakanishi confirmed that the development team will continue to support the game with new updates and fixes. Capcom recently released a patch to resolve various bugs and performance issues, and more improvements are expected in future updates.

One of the most requested features from players is Photo Mode, and Capcom has confirmed it will be added soon. Photo Mode will allow players to capture cinematic moments while exploring the game’s dark environments.

The team is also planning to release a new mini game, although details about the gameplay have not been shared yet. Nakanishi also hinted at another surprise update expected around May, but the developer has not revealed what that content will include.

Capcom has also confirmed that additional story content is in development. The expansion will explore more of the world and lore of Resident Evil Requiem.

According to Nakanishi, the team is currently working on the expansion, but it will take some time before it is ready. The goal is to deliver deeper narrative content that expands the game’s story beyond the main campaign.

Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. According to Capcom, the game has already sold more than five million copies worldwide. This is a strong start for the latest entry in the long-running survival horror franchise.

Since its launch, Resident Evil Requiem has also started gaining momentum on Steam and Twitch. The game has been climbing the Steam charts. It reached the 343,964 peak player count within a few hours of release. However, numbers now remain around 100,000.

The game is also popular among Twitch streamers and viewers. Streams of Resident Evil Requiem have been attracting large audiences.

This kind of organic growth is important for modern game releases. When a game performs well on streaming platforms, it often brings in new players who discover the game through content creators.
