Motorola has launched the new Motorola Edge 70 Fusion smartphone in India. The device was recently unveiled at MWC 2026 a few days ago and has now officially introduced it for the Indian market. The phone brings several premium features to the mid-premium segment.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED quad-curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is Pantone validated and supports HDR10+ along with 10-bit colour depth and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage. Motorola says the display can reach up to 5200 nits peak brightness. The screen also has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and SGS eye care certifications.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor built on Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU architecture. Motorola claims the chipset offers up to 27 percent better performance and delivers an AnTuTu score of over 1 million. The device also includes a large vapor chamber cooling system to maintain performance during gaming and heavy tasks. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Motorola runs Android 16 with Hello UI. Motorola promises three Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. The phone also includes additional features such as Moto Secure 5.0 with ThinkShield, Family Space, and Moto Unplugged.

Motorola has also added motoAI 2.0 features to the phone. These include AI tools such as Image Studio, Sketch to Image, Text to Sticker, and Style Sync. Productivity features include Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention live transcription, and Global Search. The phone also integrates AI assistants such as Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity.

The phone features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture to capture brighter photos with improved detail. It also includes a 13MP ultra-wide camera with macro support and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone supports 4K video recording across all cameras with Video HDR support.

It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also has Stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support.

The phone packs a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery and claims to deliver up to 52 hours of usage on a single charge. The phone also supports 68W TurboPower fast charging.

The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. It also meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards and can handle extreme temperatures and humidity conditions. It features a fabric-inspired finish on the back and Pantone-curated colour options. The phone is available in Pantone Blue Surf, Pantone Country Air, and Pantone Silhouette.

Price and availability

The smartphone will be available in three variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 26,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs 29,999. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 32,999. With bank offers, the effective starting price comes down to Rs 24,999.

Motorola will start an early bird sale on March 6 between 12 PM and 4 PM on Flipkart with limited stock. The phone will officially go on sale starting March 12 via Flipkart, Motorola’s website, and retail stores across India.
