Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming to Xbox Series consoles and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3. The game will also be available on PC through the Microsoft Store on the same day. This marks the first time the title will be playable outside the PlayStation ecosystem and existing PC storefronts.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth originally launched on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. The PC version followed on January 23, 2025, via Steam and Epic Games Store. Since then, the game has received strong praise for its scale, combat system, and storytelling, making its arrival on new platforms a major move for Square Enix.

Digital pre-orders are now live on all platforms with a 20 percent discount. Players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series or Switch 2 will receive bonus in-game items, including Moogle Trio and Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, along with exclusive armor pieces. These bonuses come on top of the standard Digital Deluxe content such as a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. The pre-order discount will remain available until June 10, 2026.

Nintendo Switch 2 buyers will also get a special physical bonus. The first production run of the physical edition will include a Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy card featuring Zack Fair, with artwork by Tetsuya Nomura. This bonus will be available while supplies last.

The Xbox Series and Switch 2 versions will include the Streamlined Progression feature. This option is designed for players who want to focus more on the story. It offers unlimited HP and MP, full ATB and limit gauges during battles, higher damage output, and faster weapon skill progression. The feature does not replace the standard experience but gives players more flexibility in how they play.

Square Enix has also announced a permanent price drop for the PlayStation 5 and PC versions starting February 9, 2026. The Standard Edition will be priced at $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will drop to $69.99. Bundle options and upgrade prices have also been reduced.
