2K and Visual Concepts have officially announced WWE 2K26. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Standard Edition will launch on March 13, 2026. Players who buy premium editions will get early access starting March 6.
CM Punk is the cover star of the Standard Edition. He also headlines this year’s 2K Showcase mode, which focuses entirely on his career. The mode is called “Punked” and is narrated by CM Punk himself. Players will relive key matches, face WWE legends, and take on a new Showcase Gauntlet designed to test skill and stamina.

WWE 2K26 features the biggest roster in the series so far. The game includes over 400 playable characters. The lineup mixes current WWE superstars, legends, and Hall of Famers. Big names include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero, Bret Hart, and many more. New additions and returning stars like Rey Fénix and Rusev are also part of the roster.
Gameplay sees several major upgrades. WWE 2K26 adds four new match types, including I Quit, Inferno, Dumpster, and Three Stages of Hell. Intergender matches are now supported across core modes. New weapons like thumbtacks and shopping carts are usable, and tables can now be stacked. The reversal and stamina systems have been reworked to make matches more strategic, while physics improvements aim to make the action feel heavier and more realistic.
The Creation Suite now supports 200 Create-a-Superstar slots, double the previous limit. Community Creations image uploads are also doubled to 2,000. Players get deeper body and face morphing tools, along with two-tone hair color options.
MyGM expands with more match types, including 5, 6, and 8-man matches, plus intergender bouts. Seasons can now include more shows, adding extra pressure to brand management. MyRISE introduces new division-based storylines where player choices matter more, and progression continues even after finishing the main story.
Universe Mode finally adds the WWE Draft. Players can reshuffle rosters and control brand lineups. Other updates include improved Money in the Bank cash-ins, more promo types, and new show-watching options.
The Island mode is now available on all platforms, including PC. It features a new storyline, new environments, and faction-based progression. MyFACTION also returns with new chemistry systems and intergender teams, alongside regular seasonal content drops.
On Nintendo Switch 2, WWE 2K26 adds exclusive features like touchscreen and mouse support, single Joy-Con play, GameShare, and GameChat. The Switch 2 version also supports cross-platform Community Creations and image uploads.
WWE 2K26 will be available in four editions: Standard, King of Kings, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War. Premium editions include early access, bonus superstars, and the new Ringside Pass system, which replaces the old DLC model with seasonal rewards.
Players who pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC will also receive a digital copy of WWE 2K25 at no extra cost.
