Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Turbo 5 Max in China. This is the most powerful phone in the Turbo series so far. The device brings several flagship-level features at an aggressive price.

The device features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display. It uses the new M10 material, which improves brightness and efficiency. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz PWM plus DC dimming. It also supports HDR video and Dolby Vision.

The phone comes in four colors. These are Shadow Black, Ocean Blue, Auspicious Cloud White, and Sunshine Orange. It has a CNC metal frame, a fiberglass back panel, and a metal racetrack-style camera module. Xiaomi has also added a dual-ring turbine light strip on the back for a more premium look.

The REDMI Turbo 5 Max is the first smartphone in the world to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. It is built on a 3nm process and uses an all big-core architecture with a large cache. Xiaomi says the chip can deliver a 2.5K high frame rate in demanding 3D turn-based mobile games. The phone also comes with a flagship-grade 3D ice-cooling pump and the new Rampage Engine for sustained performance.

It is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The REDMI Turbo 5 Max runs Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3.

REDMI Turbo 5 Max comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera can record videos up to 4K at 60fps.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also includes an upgraded antenna system, a professional-grade positioning setup, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It also offers full waterproof protection with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. Stereo dual speakers are included, along with fine volume tuning.

The phone packs a 9000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. Xiaomi claims it can deliver up to 11 hours and 10 minutes of usage, which is close to phones with even larger 10000mAh batteries. It supports 100W wired fast charging, the 100W PPS charging protocol, and 27W wired reverse charging.

In China, the REDMI Turbo 5 Max starts at 2499 yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Other variants go up to 3099 yuan for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model. The phone is already on sale in the Chinese market.
