Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book6 series at CES 2026. The new lineup includes three models. These are the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6. With this launch, Samsung is focusing on slimmer designs, stronger performance, and deeper AI integration.

The Galaxy Book6 series is built on a refined internal structure. Samsung says this new layout helps reduce thickness while keeping the laptops balanced, durable, and reliable for long-term use.

Design

Samsung has reworked both the internal and external design of the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and the 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Pro. The changes include a wider vapor chamber, a thinner fan, a new display structure, slimmer bezels, and a redesigned hinge.

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra is now just 15.4mm thick. This is 1.1mm thinner than the Galaxy Book4 Ultra. The Galaxy Book6 Pro 16-inch measures 11.9mm, which is 0.6mm thinner than its predecessor.

All models feature a symmetrical design with curved corners and a centered Samsung logo. The two-tone keyboard is aligned at the center, and the haptic touch trackpad is designed to improve typing comfort and hand placement. Inside, a new PCB layout helps distribute weight evenly and supports stable performance in a slimmer body.

Display

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro come with new Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch displays. These screens are designed to stay clear in different lighting conditions.

The displays support up to 1000 nits HDR brightness and 500 nits SDR brightness. They also offer an adaptive refresh rate from 30Hz to 120Hz. Vision Booster adjusts visibility based on ambient light and content. The panels are certified for True Bright 1300 and True Black levels.

Samsung has also used Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC coating. This reduces reflections by up to 75 percent and improves scratch resistance. Touch input allows direct interaction for editing and navigation.

Internals

The Galaxy Book6 series is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. These are Intel’s first client chips built on the 18A process technology. Samsung claims up to 60 percent faster CPU performance compared to the previous generation.

The processors support up to 16 combined performance and efficiency cores. The built-in NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS, allowing on-device AI tasks like image processing, translation, and smart search without relying on the cloud.

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra also supports dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Laptop GPUs. This makes it suitable for AI workloads, video editing, creative work, and gaming.

Samsung has redesigned the thermal system on the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro models. The Galaxy Book6 Pro series gets a vapor chamber for the first time. The Ultra model uses a larger vapor chamber with more surface area.

Both models feature larger cooling fins to improve heat transfer. Samsung claims this results in 35 percent better cooling compared to the previous generation. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra also uses a dual-path outlet fan and heatsink design. The updated fan has a new blade angle, a larger air intake, and uneven blade spacing to reduce noise.

Galaxy AI and Ecosystem Features

The Galaxy Book6 series integrates Galaxy AI features for both on-device and cloud-based tasks. These include AI Select for text selection, AI Cut Out for image background removal, and natural language search across files and settings.

Other features include Note Assist for summarisation and translation, Storage Share across Galaxy devices, and Link to Windows for phone apps, notifications, messaging, and live translation. Users also get Multi Control, Second Screen support with Galaxy tablets, and quick device discovery through Nearby Devices.

Battery Life

Battery efficiency has also been improved. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro offer up to 30 hours of video playback. This is around five hours more than the previous generation.

Fast charging is supported on the Galaxy Book6 Ultra. Samsung says the battery can reach up to 63 percent in just 30 minutes.

Enhanced Audio Experience

Audio has been upgraded across the series. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra features a six-speaker Dolby Atmos system. It includes four force-canceling woofers and two tweeters. The back-to-back woofer design helps reduce vibration and distortion at high volumes.

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro 16-inch also use up-firing tweeters for clearer voice output and side-firing woofers for better bass during media playback and calls.

Security

All Galaxy Book6 models are protected by Samsung Knox with hardware-based security. They also support Windows 11 secured-core PC features. Samsung says each device goes through strict durability testing. Samsung Care+ will be available for accidental damage protection and repairs.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 will be available in Grey and Silver in select markets from late January 2026. Reservations will open soon on Samsung’s official website. Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. A Galaxy Book6 Enterprise Edition for business users will arrive in select markets from April 2026.
