Riot Games has announced the full launch date for 2XKO. The free-to-play fighting game will officially release on January 20, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.
The game will leave Early Access on the same day. A new trailer was shared by Riot Games to confirm the release date, though it is no longer public.
2XKO first entered Early Access on PC on October 7, 2025. Since then, players have been able to test the game and provide feedback during its development phase.
2XKO is a two-versus-two fighting game that focuses heavily on teamwork. Players can control both fighters on their team alone or team up with a friend for duo play. Tag mechanics allow players to switch characters during fights, adding more depth and strategy to every match. The game also includes Fuses, which are special modifiers that change how each team plays and keep matches fresh.
The roster features popular champions from League of Legends, redesigned with new movesets made specifically for a fighting game. The game is set in the world of Runeterra and features detailed stages, smooth 2D visuals, and original music that matches the fast-paced action.
Riot Games has also built a strong online system for 2XKO. Players can join ranked, casual, or private matches through virtual arcade-style lobbies. The game uses rollback netcode for smoother online fights and includes anti-cheat systems to ensure fair matches.
