iQOO has launched its new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in India. The company had been teasing the device for weeks, and it is now official with a starting price of Rs. 72,999. The device focuses on performance, display technology, and long battery life.

The display is the most notable feature of the phone. It comes with a performance, display technology, and long battery life. This is the first time this display has been used on any Android phone. The screen offers a 2K resolution, a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6000 nits. The High Brightness Mode goes up to 2600 nits, which the company claims makes it the brightest display available in India right now.

The screen supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and comes with triple ambient light sensors for better automatic brightness control. The display is curved, and the phone will be available in two premium finishes: Alpha Edition in matte black and Legend Edition in white with a new tri-color logo.

The iQOO 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It boasts a score of over 4 million points on AnTuTu. The phone also includes a dedicated Supercomputing Chip Q3 that helps deliver higher gaming frame rates, smoother visuals, and lower latency. With frame interpolation, games can reach up to 144 FPS.

Gamers also get ray tracing support, which produces more realistic lighting effects in supported games. To keep temperatures under control during heavy use, the iQOO 15 features an 8K VC cooling system, which is one of the largest cooling chambers used in a phone in India.

The device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. iQOO promises five major Android updates and seven years of security updates, which gives it long-term value.

The iQOO 15 carries a triple-camera setup with three 50MP sensors:

  • 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS
  • 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens
  • 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera

The front camera is a 32MP sensor. On paper, this setup is designed to deliver detailed shots, stable video, and good zoom capabilities.

It includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Hi-Fi audio, IR blaster, and IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, multiple global GPS systems, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1.

The iQOO 15 comes with a large 7000mAh battery, built using fourth-generation silicon anode and second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology. This makes it more stable in extreme temperatures.

The phone supports 100W FlashCharge fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and 65W PPS charging. This combination aims to give users flexibility and speed while charging such a large battery.
