realme has officially launched the realme 15X 5G in India, the newest addition to the company’s 15 series.
realme 15X 5G comes with a large 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It promises smooth visuals and a responsive touch experience with up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display also reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits to make it easy to use under direct sunlight.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 6nm processor. It features an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 6nm processor with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, which is expandable with up to 10GB of Dynamic RAM for smoother multitasking. It also offers 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The smartphone runs realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, with a promise of two major Android version updates. This ensures that users will receive new features and security updates for the coming years.
The realme 15X 5G features a 50MP rear camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX852 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. The front camera is also a 50MP sensor (OV50D40, f/2.4), offering sharp selfies and video calls.
For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports fast face unlock. It has a bottom-ported 1115 Ultra-Linear speaker with 400% Ultra Volume audio for a better listening experience. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA bands, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and USB Type-C support.
The smartphone packs a large 7000mAh battery, which can easily last more than a day of heavy usage. The phone supports 60W fast charging, and an adapter is included in the box.
The device stands out in terms of durability as well. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has received military-grade shock resistance certification (MIL-STD 810H). This makes the phone resilient against harsh conditions and accidental drops. It comes in Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red colors.
