Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the new Xiaomi 17 Pro Max alongside the Xiaomi 17 in China.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED flat LTPO display with a refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. It has very slim 1.18mm bezels and can reach up to 3500 nits brightness. The phone also has a 2.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED rear screen that supports notifications, wallpapers, virtual pets, and even selfies using the main cameras.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has a larger 6.9-inch 2K OLED flat LTPO display with the same 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. It uses an independent pixel array technology for better clarity and lower power consumption. The display is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0. On the back, there is a 2.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with similar features to the Pro model. Both phones use SuperRED luminous material, reaching peak brightness of up to 3500 nits.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. To keep performance stable, the phones use advanced cooling solutions. They run Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
Both models feature the Leica Summilux imaging system. The main 50MP sensor comes with a large f/1.67 aperture, OIS, and next-generation dynamic range technology. The 17 Pro has a floating telephoto lens that supports 20cm tele-macro shots, while the 17 Pro Max comes with a 5x periscope telephoto camera with a larger sensor and improved light capture. Both phones also have a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera with support for 4K video recording.
Other features include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, and a 4-microphone array. The phones also support 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C 3.2, NavIC, and UWB for smart car key functionality.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro packs a 6300mAh battery, while the Pro Max gets a larger 7500mAh battery. Both support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse charging. Xiaomi says the batteries use high silicon content and stacked design for better energy density.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro measures 151.1 × 71.8 × 8mm and weighs 192 grams. The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max measures 162.9 × 77.6 × 8mm and weighs 219 grams. Both phones are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. They come in Black, White, Purple, and Green colors.
