Nintendo has announced Mario Tennis Fever for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be released on February 12, 2026, for $69.99.

Mario Tennis Fever brings fast-paced tennis action with Mario and friends. Players can perform familiar shots like topspin, slice, and lob, while also using new defensive moves. A new Fever Gauge system lets players unleash powerful Fever Shots. These can be boosted with special effects using different Fever Rackets, such as the Ice Racket that freezes the court or the Shadow Racket that creates duplicates. The game includes 30 Fever Rackets and 38 playable characters, the largest roster in the series.

The game offers multiple modes. In Tournament mode, a Talking Flower provides play-by-play commentary. Trial Towers challenges players with unique objectives, while Mix it Up mode adds unexpected rules and Wonder Effects. Players can also enjoy online matches in casual or ranked play, and Swing Mode allows Joy-Con 2 controllers to be used like real rackets.

There is also a full Adventure mode, where Mario and friends are transformed into babies on a mysterious island. Players must help them relearn their tennis skills, defeat monsters, and return to normal.

With new mechanics, more characters, and creative modes, Mario Tennis Fever is shaping up to be the biggest Mario Tennis game yet.
