Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch. The bundle will launch on October 2, 2026, both physically and digitally for $69.99. Players will also have the option to buy each game separately as a digital download for $39.99.
Both games come with enhanced visuals and new features. On Nintendo Switch, they run at 1080p, while Switch 2 owners will get a free update for 4K support. The collection also adds new Storybook Chapters, an updated user interface, and a new Assist Mode that makes the adventure easier for beginners.
In Super Mario Galaxy, Mario meets Rosalina and travels across the galaxy to rescue Princess Peach and recover the stolen Power Stars from Bowser. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario sets out on another journey with Yoshi, traveling across different worlds on the Starship Mario.
The games feature many power-ups, including Bee Mario, Rock Mario, Ice Mario, and Cloud Mario. Yoshi also gets his own transformations in Galaxy 2, such as Dash Yoshi, Blimp Yoshi, and Bulb Yoshi. Fans can also enjoy a Soundtrack Mode to listen to in-game music, and amiibo support for unlocking helpful items.
With enhanced graphics, new modes, and two of the most beloved Mario adventures in one package, this collection gives players a chance to enjoy the galaxy-spanning journey on modern hardware.
