Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will be released for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard was originally launched on January 24, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It later arrived on Switch through cloud streaming in 2018, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2022, and even made its way to iPhone, iPad, and Mac in 2024. The Gold Edition of the game includes the Not a Hero chapter along with all additional downloadable content.

Resident Evil Village first came out on May 7, 2021, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was later released on Switch via cloud streaming in 2022 and on iPhone, iPad, and Mac in 2023. The Gold Edition brings the Winters’ Expansion and Trauma Pack to the game.

Both titles are among the most popular entries in the Resident Evil series, and their arrival on Switch 2 will give players another chance to experience the full Gold Editions on Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.
